The Itinerary
Day 1 - Rome: Welcome to Rome; upon arrival be transferred to the hotel; later in the evening head to Trastevere district, stroll in the narrow cobbled streets, discover some modest medieval churches, small shops and local trattorias serving up traditional specialities.
 
Day 2 - Rome: Embark on a city tour of Rome, including visits to the Roman Coliseum (admission price included) and the Vatican City where the renowned St. Peter’s Basilica can be found; before returning back to the hotel, be transferred to the Via Cavour area of the city that boasts numerous restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and interna­tional food.

Day 3 - Rome and Florence: Leave Rome and head to Florence; upon arrival explore Piazzale Michelangelo, then embark on a city tour with a local guide; walk through the historic centre taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria; enjoy some leisure time, discover the city at your own pace and have an evening meal in one of the local restaurants.

Day 4 - Florence and Venice: Head towards Venice and enjoy stunning mountain landscapes of the Apennine Mountains on the way; on arrival board a Vaporetto boat to travel around on the canals in the historic city centre; visit Saint Mark’s Basilica (entry cost included); later on visit the Murano glass factory; in the afternoon eat dinner in the Mestre area.

Day 5 - Venice, Verona and Salzburg: Depart from Venice and travel to Verona, discover the gems of this romantic city with a guide; afterwards, continue the journey to Austria; when in Salzburg take a leisurely stroll along the streets of the historic centre of this city declared a World Heritage site (please note, in case of few travellers on the trip, the journey from Verona to Salzburg may be done partially by train).

Day 6 - Salzburg and Vienna: Leave Salzburg and reach Vienna at around midday; head to see the Schönbrunn Palace, stroll around and enjoy its gardens; after lunch, embark on a city tour with a local guide, experience Vienna’s majestic avenues, its palaces and the vibrant city centre; in the evening go to the City Hall Square and enjoy.

Day 7 - Vienna and Budapest: Arrive in Budapest around lunchtime and discover the ‘‘Queen of the Danube’’ on a scenic tour; at the end of the day spend some time in the lively area of Vaci Utca which boasts numerous restaurants and cafes.

Day 8 - Budapest: Embark on a boat tour along the Danube River and admire the views of the city and the parliament; in the afternoon enjoy dinner at a chosen restaurant.

Day 9 - Budapest, Bratislava and Prague: Leave Budapest for Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, explore the historic centre of the city; after lunch, head to the Czech Republic; in the afternoon see the sight of Prague’s Old Town and enjoy an evening meal there.

Day 10 - Prague: Spend the day exploring the Baroque jewel of Europe, Prague; join a tour guided by a local expert, visit  Prague Castle (admission included) and enjoy a boat tour along Moldava River; after the tour take some leisure time to explore the city and have some dinner.

Day 11 - Prague, Lauf, Wurzburg and Frankfurt: Leave Prague for Germany; in the region of Bavaria, see Lauf an der Pegnitz, a picturesque little village which stands out for its busy Market Square and the castle; after this carry on to Wurzburg (time for lunch and sightseeing there); continue the journey to Frankfurt, explore the historic centre of the city and dine in a chosen restaurant.

Day 12 - Frankfurt, Cruise on The River Rhine, Cologne and Amsterdam: Embark on a cruise on The Rhine, between the villages of Rudesheim and St. Goar; after the cruise travel to Cologne, famous for its gothic cathedral; then head towards Holland and arrive in Amsterdam at the end of the day.

Day 13 - Amsterdam: Start the day with a visit to Zaanse Schans and discover its mills, canals and typical houses; then head to Volendam, a picturesque fishing village; then take a short boat trip to the island of Marken; in the afternoon take a panoramic tour of Amsterdam to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks; be transferred the red-light district and enjoy numerous dining venues available in the area.

Day 14 - Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges and Paris: Leave for Brussels, take some time in the Grand Place and take a stop to photograph the Atomium; arrive in Bruges, the famous Flemish city known as the ‘‘Northern Little Venice’’; after lunch, continue the journey to France; arrive in Paris late in the evening.

Day 15 - Paris: Today take a chance to climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a boat cruise along the River Seine; after the cruise, enjoy some leisure time (please note, for organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or on Monday)); at sunset transfer to the ‘‘Quartier Latin’’, a very picturesque area of the historic city centre and have dinner there.

Day 16 - Paris and Rouen: In the morning go to the Louvre Museum area and enjoy some leisure time (optional visit to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris); at about 5.30pm leave Paris for Rouen, city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches.

Day 17 - Rouen, Eperlecques, Canterbury and London: Set off to the north of France, in Eperlecques visit a huge bunker in the middle of the forest (admission in­cluded); then leave on a ferry across the English Channel to reach Canterbury which boasts a renowned historical centre; continue the journey to London.

Day 18 - London: Get to know London on a locally-guided tour, covering attractions such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of Lon­don and Buckingham Palace (watch the famous ‘‘Changing of the Guard’’ if possible); take an optional excursion to the ‘‘London Eye’’ Ferris wheel; in the afternoon, at 5pm, after a period of free time, tuck into a traditional afternoon tea; in the evening, stroll through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho; sit down for dinner at the preferred restaurant.
