Day 1
Embarkation in Vienna- Nussdorf. Departure in the evening and arrival in Krems, where the ship stays for the night.
Day 2
In the morning, the ship passes through the famous Danube Valley Wachau, UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, a visit to *Stift Melk is scheduled from Emmersdorf.
Day 3
Technical stop in the early morning in Linz. Then river passage through the wonderful Danube loop near Schlögen. The afternoon is dedicated to the city of Passau, *walking tour through the charming Old Town and to the “Ortsspitz” at the junction of the rivers Ilz, Inn and Danube. The cruise will be continued in the evening.
Day 4
Arrival in Regensburg around noon, early lunch on board. Afterwards *city walking tour through the former free imperial city Regensburg. Continue by coach to the *Weltenburg monastery which is one of the nicest baroque churches in this area. Afterwards take a ride on an *excursion boat through the Danube breakthrough to Kelheim. Return on board in Kelheim and continuation of the cruise.
Day 5
Arrival in Nuremberg in the morning, *city tour. In the shadow of the impressing medieval castle there is the Old Town with the marketplace, Alfred Dürer‘s House and St. Mary‘s church. The afternoon is at free disposal. Continuation of the cruise in the evening.
Day 6
The first port of call on the Main is Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. *Walking tour through the landmarked city that is a synthesis between Gothic style and Baroque and dominated by the imperial cathedral. River passage on the Main River in the afternoon.
Day 7
*Sightseeing tour in Würzburg in the morning, which extends below Marienberg Fortress. The tour also includes a visit to the residence. In the afternoon you will discover the *rococo garden of Veitshöchheim Castle near Würzburg including a visit to a nearby winery. Return on board in Würzburg.
Day 8
Arrival in the cosy Main townlet Wertheim in the morning. After a *city walking tour there will be a coach transfer along the Main River to Miltenberg. During a *walking tour you explore the “Pearl of the Main River” with the “Schnatterloch”, surrounded by stunning half-timbered houses. Around noon return on board in Miltenberg.
Day 9
The next destination is the charming wine-growing town of Rüdesheim, where the *shore leave includes a ride on the mini train „Winzerexpress“ into the centre of the small town, a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet and a walk down the famous Drosselgasse, lined with wine taverns. Afterwards you enjoy the river cruise on the most romantic part of the Middle Rhine and past the Lorelei rock, steeped in legend. On the very same day the ship arrives in Koblenz, which is located right at the mouth of the Moselle River into the Rhine River, *city walking tour to the most important sights at the Old Town. Continuation of the cruise in the late evening.
Day 10
Arrival in Cologne in the morning. Explore the heart of the city during a *sightseeing walking tour. Continuation of the cruise downstream the Rhine River around noon.
Day 11
With Amsterdam the last stop is reached. The morning is dedicated to the charming fishing village of Volendam and the cheese town of Edam. During an afternoon *Grachten round trip you get to know the „Venice of the North“.
Day 12
After breakfast disembarkation in Amsterdam.
